On Monday Kim Hyun-joong, who is also affiliated with Keyeast, donated 100 million won. Keyeast said Kim sent the money to his Japan-based agency, DA, earlier in the day.
“It is meager but I hope it can be a help to the victims. Many are offering hands of help, and I hope everyone does so with the same heart,” said Kim.
Kim, who is the leader of popular boy band SS501, was scheduled to meet with fans in Tokyo last Sunday to promote the Japanese premier of his TV drama “Naughty Kiss.” The event was canceled after the country was ravaged by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and the ensuing tsunami Friday.
